Let’s chat a bit about how uncomfortable change can be. Sorry to burst any rose colored bubbles but it can be no other way as with change we are experiencing something new and unknown. We have exited our comfort zone and it feels scary.

: a process of change in a certain direction : unfolding
: a process of continuous change from a lower, simpler, or worse to a higher, more complex, or better state : growth
Our first instinct is to run from discomfort as if we’re in danger because that’s how it feels. However, the prize, pleasant surprise or successful outcome lies on the other side of the discomfort. If it’s on the way to what you really want then you must endure and persevere through it to the end goal. Stand still in your inherent power and show yourself how strong and resilient you really are. Most times you’ll realize that it wasn’t that bad after all, and you’ll be adding to your bag of tricks a.k.a. knowledge, skills and wisdom a.k.a. your evolution.
Mel’s Two Cents: When experiencing discomfort: stop, breathe deeply and know you can do this. Flex your courage muscles, do the doggone thang, and grow a little bigger and brighter – you’ll be glad you did!
