Authenticity and Eccentricity, two sides of the same coin

Authenticity and Eccentricity, two sides of the same coin

Hello Friends,

Will the real you please come forth from the proverbial closet?! Yes I am talking to YOU! The one and only you who has something only you can share with the world. We are all different, with unique quirks and talents. We are waiting for you to add your two cents to the pot to fill and complete it.

authentic
1 : not false or imitation : real, actual
2 : true to one’s own personality, spirit, or character

eccentric
1 a : deviating from conventional or accepted usage or conduct especially in odd or whimsical ways b : deviating from an established or usual pattern or style

Stop hiding behind excuses. Stop doing what you were told you could do or what was chosen for you. Start doing what you’ve always wanted to do but convinced yourself wasn’t practical, logical or able to provide a decent living. Hmm, I wonder whose voice is in your head that convinced you of that big fat lie, and every time you try to make a tiny move in the direction of your dreams you are suddenly panic stricken or guilt ridden. We’ve all been there. UGH!

I had to admit to myself that while I enjoy my day job and it’s provided a decent living, it’s what was chosen for me by my mother. When I was older and on my own, I decided to study what I wanted and do that part-time but continued with the same work. What?! Well, thank Goodness I finally woke up and here we are today. But wait, there’s more… recently I had to admit that while I enjoy helping others access their inherent peace, joy and wisdom through coaching and psychology, I actually really love doing it using my psychic mediumship abilities, and I’m pretty darn good at it too! There you have it folks – I am completely out of my closet!

Mel’s Two Cents: I invite you to bust wide open the door of the closet you’re in and jump out. Start by getting quiet and asking yourself: Who am I? Why am I here? What am I here to share with the world? What do I really love to do? What am I naturally good at? What lights me up like the neon lights in Las Vegas or Times Square? Then take baby steps – go try it on for size, do it for fun, follow your joy and excitement and see where it leads you. You may wind up creating a whole new life for yourself, the one you’ve always dreamed of or the one you never knew you wanted but are eternally grateful for.

Remember: I love and accept myself just as I am. Let’s add another affirmation: Something amazingly awesome is happening to me, through me, and for me today. Say this one a few times and then squeal with delight like a kid on Christmas morning discovering the present he’s been asking Santa for under the tree!

Happy Holidays!

Note to self: update website ASAP to reflect my authenticity!

Until next time.

Love it! Absolutely my favorite post, so far! This, I feel, is coming from YOUR AUTHENTICITY! This post feels like you’re tapping into your power! I’m excited for you! And US, especially if we get more of YOU; the Authentic You!

Thank you for sharing and reminding all of us to look inside, and be courageous and honest about Who We Are and what we really want to do! 😁
