My new book and holding on for one more day

My new book and holding on for one more day

Hello Friends,

Happy Valentines Day to you and especially to me!

I feel so wonderful I could squeal with exuberance like a child on Christmas morning or cry from a humble heart filled with joy! My new book was just released and is now available at Balboa Press. Within the next 30 days it will be available at all major book retailors worldwide. My dream/goal to have a beautiful, high quality book published by Valentine’s Day has come true.

You can purchase a copy at

I awoke this morning with the classic Wilson Phillips song “Hold On” playing incessantly in my mind. I didn’t remember all the lyrics so I looked them up and surprise, surprise – they are a fitting compliment to the reason behind writing this book.

There have been many times in my short life when things were not going my way, when situations made me cry, when I experienced pain, unhappiness and worries. In hindsight, I see that these perceived painful times happened for my highest good, to stretch me out of my comfort zone and lead me to that better place I had been praying for. I made up my mind to listen to, and follow the guidance of, my innate intuitive voice, the one we’re all born with; that still, small voice that we allow fear, doubt and anxiety to drown out.

The poetry in this book was my way of allowing Love/Source/God to speak to me and through me about timeless, universal truths spoken of throughout the ages by the world’s great sages and masters. Truths that can set us free and empower us to live the life we’ve always dreamed of.

Mel’s Two Cents: I invite you to take a few minutes to listen to “Hold On,” and sing and dance along if the spirit moves you – just like I was doing early this morning. I’ll leave you with the song’s final verse and a poem from my new, amazing poetry/journal book.

Don’t you know things can change
Things’ll go your way
If you hold on for one more day
Can’t you change it this time
Make up your mind
Hold on. Hold on. Baby hold on.

Life is just a Thought

What if life is just a thought?
An idea
An illusion
A smoke screen with images
A nightmare that’s frightening
What if I can change it with a new thought?
A different idea
A new imagining with peaceful and joy filled images
A happy dream
What if I change my mind?
What if I ponder new thoughts and change my life?
What if Life is just a thought?

Until next time.
