Practice changing your mind

Practice changing your mind

Hello Friends,

Let’s continue on from last week. As you practice freeing your mind from outdated, dysfunctional or toxic thoughts, ideas and beliefs, it’s very important to replace them immediately with those that will serve your highest good aka lead you to a more peaceful, joy-filled and fulfilling life experience.

Try using affirmations as we’ve talked about before. Affirmations are positive statements about yourself or your circumstances that can help you challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. When you repeat them often you eventually start to believe them, they become your new truth and your life experience changes.

While affirmations are great, efforts can feel hard and futile at first. Another method you can try is using afformations – turning the affirmation into a question. This method allows the subconscious mind to look for answers as to why the statement is true. It helps direct your attention onto ideas, people, places or things that support the statement as your truth. Simply practice posing the questions without trying to find the answers and go about your day. Eventually the evidence/answers will come to you, often in the form of an aha moment or great idea that you can then take inspired action on. Check out The Book of Afformations® by Noah St. John.

Affirmation: I attract good things into my life. / I am more than good enough. / I am so blessed.
Afformation: Why do I attract good things into my life? / Why am I more than good enough? / Why am I so blessed?

Mel’s Two Cents: Remember, you are the only thinker in your mind, therefore your opinion is the only one that counts and really impacts your life. So, if you don’t like your current life experience, change your mind ASAP!

Until next time.
